A new hi-fi listening bar called SPIN has opened in Munich, offering a vinyl-only experience built for deep, focused listening rather than late-night club energy.
A Space Built Around Sound
Located at Theklastraße 1 in Munich’s Glockenbachviertel neighborhood, SPIN centers everything around sound quality and atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling shelves house more than 2,000 records, while a restored pair of vintage JBL studio monitors serve as the heart of the listening room.
The design draws inspiration from Japanese jazz kissas — intimate listening cafés where the priority is simple: sit down, order a drink, and really listen.
Vinyl-Only Listening, Club Access Next Door
SPIN runs a vinyl-only policy, with carefully curated selections spanning jazz, soul, electronic, ambient, and beyond. The room is tuned for clarity and warmth, with playback designed to feel more like a private hi-fi session than a standard bar.
Guests can also access a neighboring club space, giving music lovers the option to move from focused listening to a more traditional dancefloor environment later in the night.
